Hedyotis diffusa and effects

Hedyotis diffusa (scientific name:Hedyotis diffusa) is a plant of the Rubiaceae black fungus.Distributed in Japan and the southern part of mainland China,it grows above 1800 meters above sea level,mostly on rocks,and has not been artificially introduced and cultivated.Among them,the patent medicine is bitter,light and cold in nature and flavor.The main functions are clearing heat and detoxifying, relieving pain and dissipating stagnation,diuresis and dehumidification. Pharmacological effect

     1.Anti-tumor effect:

In vitro (equivalent to crude drug 6g/ml),it has a strong inhibitory effect on acute lymphocytic,granulocytic,mononuclear and chronic granulocytic tumor cells.

 2.Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects:

The in vitro antibacterial effect is not significant,and it only has a weak effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella.

Antibacterial:The decoction is diluted in test tubes,1:4 has inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella flexneri,and 1:2 has inhibitory effect on Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Anti-inflammatory immunity:decoction 4g/kg 1 day gavage 4 times,all can stimulate reticuloendothelial hyperplasia,increase the phagocytic ability of phagocytes to normal rabbit and experimental appendicitis rabbit caused by artificial stenosis appendix,and make Argyrophilic substances tend to densify, enhance the body's defense capabilities and achieve anti-inflammatory effects.The median lethal dose of the extract is 104g crude drug/kg for intraperitoneal injection of mice.

Dosage  

Oral administration:decoction, 15-30g, up to 60g in large doses;or pounded into juice.External application:smashed for applying.
